Stancev heads to Kanal D

    Pavel Stancev, who led the launch of HBO in Romania, has been appointed CEO of Kanal D Romania.

    Kanal D, founded in 2007, is currently in third place among Romanian viewers.

    The Romanian news site, wall-street.ro, reported that Stancev's appointment commenced on February 1. He was founder and general director of HBO Romania from 1997-2002. The 42-year-old Bulgarian native was CEO of Croatia's RTL Televizia, and for the past four years was CEO of Bulgaria's Nove TV, overseeing its rise to second place.
