Celluloid Dreams Picks Up Loverboy

    BUCHAREST: Cătălin Mitulescu's second feature, Loverboy has been acquired by Celluloid Dreams (www.celluloid-dreams.com). The film will have soon its world premiere in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2011 Cannes film festival.

    Loverboy is a contemporary love story about a 20-year-old Romanian village boy, who makes girls fall in love with him in order to place them in prostitution networks, and one of his victims.

    The film is produced by the Romanian Strada Film (www.stradafilm.ro) in coproduction with Sweden's Film i Väst AB (http://www.filmivast.se/sv/Film-i-Vast/) and Chimney Pot (www.thechimneypot.com), and Serbia's Cinelabs Belgrade (www.cinelabs.rs).

    Producer Daniel Mitulescu told FNE that the film will have its Romanian premiere later this year.
