Serbian Blockbuster Guardians of the Formula Hits Cinemas in France

BELGRADE: Dragan Bjelogrlić’s Guardians of the Formula / Čuvari formule was released by L' Atelier d'images in French cinemas on 5 June 2024. Soul Films is handling the world sales of this coproduction between Serbia, Slovenia, Montenegro and North Macedonia.

In Serbia, the film based on Goran Milašinović's bestseller The Vinča Incident, about lesser-known historical facts about Yugoslavia's participation in the Cold War, cashed in 1.16 m EUR / 136,421,783 RSD from 253,889 admissions in 2023.

Guardians of the Formula had its world premiere within the Piazza Grande programme of the 77th Locarno Film Festival in 2023, where it received the Variety Critics' Award.

Guardians of the Formula is being distributed in France with 80 prints.

The film was produced by Cobra Film and United Media and coproduced by Ton Film, Perfo Production, Bitter Frames Production and Film Studio Skopje.
