Markiza director resigns

    Václav Mika, the general director of leading Slovak commercial station Markiza TV (www.markiza.sk), has resigned, after five years in the position.

    Mika resigned on September 28. According to the Slovak News Agency SITA, Mika and station owner Central European Media Enterprises (CME, www.cetv-net.com) parted ways by mutual agreement.

    Broadcasting director Petr Dvorak and director for corporate affairs Oliver Meister will jointly assume control of the station until a new managing director is announced.
