Slovenia, Bulgaria and Romania to Launch New Film Education Programme

    LJUBLJANA: Teaching European History through Cinema (TEHC), a film education programme using European films as a tool for learning history, will be implemented in 2018 in Slovenia, Bulgaria and Romania alongside Italy, which initiated it.

    The programme will be launched in high schools and will use fiction films. Approximately 1,000 students and 40 teachers are expected to get involved in each participant country.

    Teaching European History through Cinema (TEHC) was initiated by the Associazione Generale Italiana dello Spettacolo (AGIS) in partnership with Libera Università di Lingue e Comunicazione in Milan (IULM), the VIZO Institute Slovenia, Format SFF Foundation from Bulgaria and the Romanian Film Promotion. The programme is co-financed by the Creative Europe - the MEDIA Programme of the European Union.
