News channel sold to journalist

By Matevz Rudolf
Well know Slovenian journalist Vladimir Vodušek has bought a majority share in commercial news station Info TV (www.infotv.si) from its founder Leo Oblak.

Info TV transmits TV and radio daily news. According to local newspaper Finance, Vodušek will pay for this share, said to be €2.5 to 3 million, in the next few years based on the financial success of this TV station.

Oblak, who still owns 9 % share of the company, stated that the reason for selling the majority share was the TV station's need for additional financial support - especially for development of radio network.

No major change will be made in programming at the station, with the exception of a weekly discussion show hosted by Vodušek.
