Reelport and the European Film Academy (EFA) are pleased to announce that PicturePipe will provide an online platform that will allow producers to submit films to the European Film Awards. Once the films are submitted, they can be watched and evaluated online by the EFA Committees and Members. The new service will also include the option of downloading the films, when authorized by the rights-holder.

"It is great to have PicturePipe on board as a partner for the European Film Awards," says Marion Döring, director of the EFA. "With our new platform we will make life easier for both the producers and our members who will nominate the films for the European Film Awards."

During the submission process, hundreds of films will be evaluated by different EFA Committees before being nominated, in a second step, by the EFA Members. The new platform offered by PicturePipe will manage this process from beginning to end.

"Delivering the films in the most efficient and most secure way to the  EFA Members is a new challenge for us after providing VoD solutions primarily for film markets and festivals," says Tilman Scheel, CEO of the reelport company. "We are happy to customize our solution to the specific requirements of the EFA and, of course, we are happy to promote European films."
