Microsoft selects only three apps for Polish users

Microsoft has recently announced that FilmBox Live streaming app will soon be available to Xbox One and Xbox 360 users in Poland.

FilmBox Live is a multi-screen, video-on-demand app that gives subscribers access to a vast library of movies and tv shows. What sets it apart from other VOD services is that it allows users to watch live streams of several TV channels from the FilmBox and Kino Polska portfolio, including FilmBox Arthouse for film buffs, FightBox for fight fans, and Fast&FunBox focused on extreme sports.

FilmBox Live is one of three new entertainment apps available to Polish Xbox users. Microsoft executives stress that providing access to film and TV content has been at the core of the company’s vision for Xbox One. “With these new partners, Xbox will add to the most robust entertainment experiences available on a console”, asserts the corporate blog Xbox Wire.

“We have been very consistent in making FilmBox Live service available to all major online entertainment and Smart TV platforms in Europe. We are proud to have been included by Microsoft as one of their three app partners featured on the Xbox game consoles in Poland and we are looking forward to extending the partnership between Microsoft and FilmBox Live throughout Europe,” said Berk Uziyel, the Executive Director of Filmbox International, Ltd.
