    Berlin, 24 February 2020: Tonight the EUROPEAN SHOOTING STARS 2020 were welcomed to the Berlinale Palast stage by host, Alexander Fehling – German Shooting Stars in 2011 – and presented with the EUROPEAN SHOOTING STARS Award. The prominent talent programme, which is celebrating its 23rd edition, is financially supported by the Creative Europe – MEDIA Programme of the European Union and the participating national film institutes, EFP‘s member organisations and the German and Chinese Culture Foundation.

    EFP (European Film Promotion) and its supporters are delighted to once again bring the EUROPEAN SHOOTING STARS programme to Berlin International Film Festival. Tonight's ceremony was held in the presence of Festival Directors Mariette Rissenbeek and Carlo Chatrian as well as Monika Grütters, German Minister of the State for Culture and the Media and a number of Europe's cultural ministers.

    EFP (European Film Promotion) is an international network of film promotion institutes from 37 countries from throughout Europe, each representing their national films and talent abroad. Under the EFP flag, these organisations team up to jointly promote the diversity and spirit of European cinema and talent at key film festivals and markets, in particular outside of Europe.
