VOD MARKET DAY
On September 4th, EUROVOD and the Venice Film Festival are co-organising, as part of Venice Production Bridge programme and the European VoD Meetings, the 2nd edition of the VoD Market Day, which will take place at the Hotel Excelsior, Lido di Venezia, and online.
Starting at 10:30 until 13:00 at Sala Incontri, the VoD Market Day opens the doors with the EUROVOD conference “DIVERSE, INDEPENDENT AND SUSTAINABLE: BUILDING EUROPEAN VOD”, bringing a light on to the current state of play of the European VoD ecosystem and the impacts of the last months on the VoD industry by analysing market trends and patterns of audience engagement, especially through the cooperation between on demand services, cinemas and festivals. Invited speakers at the conference include Gianluca Guzzo (MyMovies), Katharina Jeschke (IMZ), Jaume Ripoll (Filmin), Weerada Sucharitkul (FilmDoo). The panel will be moderated by Michael Gubbins (SampoMedia). EuroVoD will also be presenting its 2020 Report on the Evolution of a European Independent VoD Sector, and will introduce EUROVOD PRO, the new online market and networking place dedicated to the Video on Demand sector, which received funding and support from the Creative Europe Media Programme.
The conference will also be accessible to all online via the Venice Production Bridge Live Channel.
From 14:30 to 18:00, 14 selected VoD platforms and services providers will be available in a reserved area at Excelsior Hotel and online for the ONE-TO-ONE MEETINGS with the Industry Professionals of the Venice Film Festival.
