The Inspirational Labs are a series of initiatives run in collaboration with leading training programmes and meant to encourage producers to develop new content and explore new business models. 
Explore the different Labs available: 

__AMAZING INTELLIGENCE, finding a way between human ability and AI efficiency
in partnership with ACE Producers

__ANIMA SPIRIT, a journey into the exciting and complex world of animated film production
in partnership with CEE Animation Workshop

__COLD OPEN, a hands-on workshop if you’re interested in moving into drama series contents
in partnership with MIDPOINT Institute

__DOCS MEET SERIES, a key to produce high-end creative docuseries within an international perspective

in partnership with EURODOC

__GENRE RULES, an extensive guide to the inner workings of genre cinema
in partnership with the Fantastic Film Forum of the Trieste Science+Fiction Festival

__IMPACT ZONE, a co-creation workshop to make your film an impactful change in society

__SUSTAINABLE LEADERSHIP, well-being and success for women in film
in partnership with International Screen Institute

__UNLOCKING CAPITAL, empowering producers to work with private investors

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

__Producers from Europe, Canada and Latin America are eligible to apply
__One may apply to up to 3 different labs, but in case of selection it will be possible to attend one Inspirational Lab only
__It is possible to apply to more than one WEMW section (Co-Production Forum, Works in Progress, EAVE Slate) and to the Inspirational Labs at the same time

In order to submit your application and the required materials you need to create your own account and fill in the online form following this link.

The deadline is November 5, 23:59 CET.

DATES & SELECTION

All Inspirational Labs activities will take place from 18 to 20 January 2026 in Trieste (up to 3-4 hours per day) and will be smoothly integrated with the WEMW Programme.

All applicants will be informed about the selection results in December 2025. The final selection will be primarily based on the applicant’s profile and motivation, and all selected participants will have the opportunity to join the full WEMW programme. 

FEE & SCHOLARSHIPS

In case of selection, the participation fee is € 250, including WEMW & Trieste Film Festival accreditation, tuition fee and lunches. Travel costs and accommodation are not included.

__The participation fee will be waived for all Ukrainian selected participants
