Three Slovak coproductions will have their world premieres in competition at the 48th Karlovy Vary IFF, running 28 June – 6 July 2013.
PRAGUE: French star Audrey Tautou will open the 48th Karlovy Vary IFF (28 June – 6 July 2013) with the festival premiere of Mood Indigo presented by director Michel Gondry, and Hollywood star John Travolta will receive the festival’s Crystal Globe for Outstanding Artistic Contribution to World Cinema at a gala screening of Killing Season.
PRAGUE: Czech Film Center director Jana Cernik will be leaving her post on 3 July 2013.

PRAGUE: The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival has announced its programme line-up for 2013 with a lot of the biggest buzz centered on the regionally focused East of the West competition. Slovak director Juraj Lehotský’s Slovak-Czech coproduction Miracle/Zázrak (Arteleria) will open the 12-film East of the West competition of the 48th Karlovy Vary IFF, 28 June – 6 July 2013.

The former Kentauros Studios, located 20 km from central Bucharest, will be relaunched as Solar Studios in a joint venture between Solar Entertainment Group and Romanian real estate developer Dragos Savulescu, who recently acquired the property.
