WARSAW: The crime thriller series The Pleasure Principle written by Maciej Maciejewski and directed by Dariusz Jabłoński is the first international drama series originated, shot and made as a coproduction between three Eastern European countries (Poland, Czech Republic and Ukraine). The series is produced by Poland’s Apple Film Production in coproduction with Canal+Poland, the Czech Television and Star Media Ukraine.

WARSAW: Polish box office hit Miszmasz czyli Kogel Mogel 3 by Kordian Piwowarski has been sold by London-based Magnetes Ltd in 16 countries, including the USA, Canada, the UK, Germany, Sweden and Spain. The film was released in Polish cinemas by NEXT FILM on 25 January 2018 with 2.2 m admissions so far, making it the top box office hit in Poland in 2019.

WARSAW: The Clergy by Wojciech Smarzowski and Cold War by Paweł Pawlikowski were awarded ex-aequo with the Golden Tapes award for best domestic film released in Polish cinemas in 2018. Golden Tapes are awarded by the Polish section of FIPRESCI and the members of the Polish Filmmakers Association.

WARSAW: IKH Pictures Promotion has picked up Used Up directed by Małgorzata Imielska, Iron Bridge directed by Monika Jordan-Młodzianowska and Supernova directed by Bartosz Kruhlik for international sales. The company will showcase the line-up at Berlinale 2019.
