WROCŁAW: The British drama Bait directed by Mark Jenkin won both the International Competition Grand Prize and the Audience Award at the 19th New Horizons International Film Festival. The festival wrapped on 4 August 2019 in Wroclaw.

WROCŁAW: Eight Polish projects currently in production and postproduction were showcased during the last day of Polish Days, an industry event held at the New Horizons IFF. The list includes international minority coproductions with Polish creative engagement.

WROCŁAW: The 8th edition of Polish Days Completed Films (25 July-4 August 2019) within the New Horizons International Film Festival showcased five completed Polish projects including the new titles by Jan Komasa, Xawery Żuławski and Marek Lechki.

WROCŁAW: The 10th edition of the New Horizons Studio+ launched on 27 July 2019 as part of the New Horizons International Film Festival. This international workshop is set to teach directors and producers how to promote and market their project.

LODZ: German drama System Crasher directed by Nora Fingscheidt snagged the main Distribution Award in the New Cinema Competition of the 9th Transatlantyk International Film Festival. The festival took place in Lódź 12 - 17 July 2019.

WARSAW: Polish director Władysław Pasikowski is working on the 3rd instalment of his hit crime action series Dogs starring Bogusław Linda and Cezary Pazura. The premiere is planned for 2020.

GDYNIA: A total of 16 films will compete in the main competition of the 44th Gdynia Film Festival, set to take place from 16 to 21 September 2019.

LODZ: The 3rd edition of the industry event Icebreaker, hosted by Transatlantyk Film Festival, focuses on development with key Polish film professionals sharing their experience both on preparation, legal and literary aspects of the process.

WROCŁAW: Five complete films, eight works-in-progress and ten pitching projects will participate in the 19th New Horizons IFF's Polish Days programme. The festival takes place in Wrocław 25 July – 4 August 2019.

WARSAW: Berlinale Crystal Bear winning director Katarzyna Rosłaniec is in development with Salt Lake, a Polish/Swedish coproduction that has received funding from Creative Europe - MEDIA.
