KRAKOW: Call Me Marianna, Casa Blanca and Queen Of Silence dominated the winners line-up at 55th Krakow Film Festival.

WARSAW: Poland’s public broadcaster TVP will co-produce a mini-series about Polish-German relations with Germany’s ZDF and 3Sat.

KRAKOW: Marie Curie, a biographical costume drama about Maria Skłodowska-Curie, is being shot at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow.

WARSAW: Polish public broadcaster TVP has commissioned a 13-episode season of Bodo, a costume drama series about a legendary Polish actor. The executive production company is Akson Studio.

WARSAW: Joanna Szymańska was born in 1981 in Poland. A film studies graduate at the Jagiellonian University, she studied law at University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Warsaw. For three years, she was head of the Production Department at Wajda Studio, producing over a dozen short feature and documentary films, including one of the most awarded Polish short features of the decade, Milky Brother directed Vahram Mkhitaryan (Wajda Studio, Munk Studio).

WARSAW: Mariusz Włodarski was born in 1980 in Poland. In 2005 he graduated from the Department of International Relations at the University of Lodz and wrote his thesis on the use of marketing approaches in film distribution in Poland.

KRAKOW: Jaroslaw Marszewski won the 2015 SCRIPT PRO competition organized by the Wajda School and awarded in Krakow on 6 May for his script Red Planet White Flag.

WARSAW: Ryszard Bugajski has started shooting the dramatic film Zaćma, inspired by the life of a Stalinist member of the infamous Polish Ministry of Security known as "Bloody Luna."
