VARNA: Svetla Tsotsorkova’s debut feature Thirst will compete in the main competition at the 33rd Golden Rose National Film Festival (6-11 October 2015). The film had its world premiere in the New Directors section of the 63rd San Sebastian International Film Festival.

VARNA: Tsvetodar Markov’s second feature While Aya Was Sleeping will compete in the main competion at the 33rd Golden Rose NFF (6-11October 2015). The domestic release has not been announced yet.

VARNA: Thirteen films will be screened in the national official competition of the 33rd Golden Rose Film Festival from 6 to 11 of October 2015. The most important film festival in Bulgaria sees also a record number of short film, 18, in the second official competition programme. 

SOFIA: By secret ballot applied for the first time this year the National Film Council of the Bulgarian National Film Center selected Stephan Komandarev's The Judgment as the country's official entry to the Foreign Language category of the 88th Academy Awards.

SOFIA: Award-winning director Iglika Triffonova is in postproduction with her new film Lift for Patients, a modern psychological drama. Written by Triffonova herself, the script was rated first at the session for low budget films set up by the National Film Centre last year.
