Sleepwalkers is back with increased number of competition programmes

The only dedicated international short film festival in Estonia, Student and Short Film Festival Sleepwalkers, taking place 12-15 November 2012, includes an International Short Competition, an International Student Film Competition, a National Short Film Competition and The Baltic Sea Competition.

The Sleepwalkers International Competition presents some of the world’s greatest short films of the past year and gives audiences the chance to enjoy an exciting mix of films that range from drama to comedy, documentary to experimental. With appearances from big names such as Michael Fassbender, the competition proves that great things can come in small sizes.

The Sleepwalkers Student Film Competition takes the cream of short films from the best and most renowned film schools from all corners of the globe. If you’ve ever thought that student films ‘are practise before a real film’, these programmes will change your mind with films that will delight, surprise and leave you on the edge of your seat.

With so much great cinema coming from North East Europe, The Sleepwalkers Baltic Sea Competition shines a light on films from Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Finland, Germany, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, and Sweden. The nights of these countries may be often dark but their cinema is a bright beacon of creativity and talent.

The Sleepwalkers National Competition celebrates the newest short films from Estonia. With Estonian filmmakers receiving Oscar nominations for their work, you can be sure there will be much to discover from Sleepwalkers own back yard.
