The showcasing of cinematic excellence and its relation with the Cypriot audience have been at the heart of Cyprus Film Days since its first edition in 2003. Therefore, the objective remains the same for the international competition section “Glocal Images” as well, since independent works are expected, framing the diversity of local cultures and presenting innovative approaches to subject matters that can be addressed to an international audience.
The award of the films submitted to the competition section of this year’s festival will be assigned to an international Jury, whose names will be announced at a later date. The categories of the awards are the following:
- Best Film Award accompanied by the amount of €6,000
- Special Jury Award accompanied by the amount of €3,000
- Glocal Images Award accompanied by the amount of €1,000
With the enhancement of the festival’s International Competition Section for fiction films for the 3rd consecutive year, an exciting celebration lies ahead, which continues to highlight the discovery of new talents and new stories from all over the world.
Interested parties are called upon to submit an entry form by Friday, the 8th of February 2013.
