CinEast, the Central and Eastern European Film Festival Luxembourg (www.cineast.lu), has now started the submission process for its 6th edition, which will be held from 9 to 27 October 2013 in Luxembourg city and other towns.
The CinEast festival welcomes features as well as short films (fiction, documentary and animated) made by filmmakers from the following countries only: Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Serbia (works by directors from Bosnia &Herzegovina, FYROM, Montenegro and Kosovo will also be admitted). Exceptionally other films having a strong connection to the mentioned countries can be considered.
The submission deadline is 30 June 2013.

About CinEast
The CinEast festival aims to promote the cinema of Central and Eastern European countries of the former communist bloc in and around Luxembourg. It has existed since 2008 and the upcoming 6th edition will take place between 9th and 27th October 2013. The festival offers a wide selection of feature, documentary and short films (fiction, animated and documentary) as well as a rich programme of accompanying events, including concerts, exhibitions, debates, culinary evenings etc. Selected feature films are included in the Official competition to compete for the Grand Prix and the Special Prize of the Jury awarded by an international jury. In 2012, the CinEast festival presented over 90 films in 9 cinemas around Luxembourg, welcoming 20 special guests and attracting over 6 200 spectators.
