Krakow, 26th January 2017 – The final deadline for submitting films for 57th Krakow Film Festival is coming up – films can be submitted to the international competitions only till Tuesday, 31st January.
The organizers of Krakow Film Festival are waiting for documentary, animated and short film submissions to three international competitions of equal rank: Short Film Competition, Documentary Competition and DocFilmMusic Competition for music documentary films. In all three international competitions, a Polish première is required, while an international première is preferred.
- In the Short Film Competition, feature, animated and documentary films with a running time of no more than 30 minutes compete for the Golden Dragon.
- In the Documentary Competition, participate documentary films with a running time longer than 30 minutes, and the best of them gets the Golden Horn.
- In the DocFilmMusic Competition, the Golden Heynal award goes to one of music documentary films with a running time of more than 50 minutes.
Krakow Film Festival is an Oscar® qualifying festival, nominates and recommends films for the European Film Award in short and documentary category. It has received also FIAPF accreditation. 57th Krakow Film Festival is held from 28 May to 4 June 2017. This year’s special guest at the Festival will be the cinematography of Germany.
