EUROPEAN COMPETITION FOR DOCMENTARY FILMS
Its main purpose is to present premiere productions which broaden the concept of documentary cinema and break its stereotypical image.

TELEFON ART
An international competition for films shot with a mobile phone or another “hand-held” device registering vision and sound. The film's theme and execution technique are free - documentary, feature, reportage, animated and video art films are all allowed.

POP SEFF

ZACHODNIOPOMORSKIE SHORTY
The seventh edition of a competition presenting the newest and most interesting film productions by authors associated with the West Pomeranian Voivodeship.

The competition section of SEFF discovers and presents the most interesting and newest artists’ proposals from all over the world. Last year, a record number of 2570 productions from 88 countries were submitted to the European Competition for documentary films (including co-productions), and over 1130 productions from 83 countries to the TELEFON ART competition.
In addition to the competition sections, the festival offers a rich accompanying programme, including i.a. Crossing the Boundaries – a point of the programme by Tomasz Raczek, dedicated to the future of film genre boundaries; Let's Talk Film – meetings with cinema stars; "The Best Films In The World" – a presentation of the newest and most renowned documentary productions; SEFF Film Forum - a meeting of the international film circle.
SEFFis an annual film event, organised by the OFFicyna Association, which investigates the boundaries of cinema and whose main mission is creative exploration. The festival programme is carried out in partnership with an international network of organisers and presented in Szczecin as well as in towns on both sides of the Polish-German border.
