Jasna Đuričić says it is her great honour to preside the Jury of the Competition Programme – Feature Film at the 27th Sarajevo Film Festival.
“I am very happy. Sarajevo Film Festival has always had a special place in my heart. It has been special since its beginnings – from how it started to what it has brought, not only to Sarajevo, but to all of us, the entire region. It is a place where the whole world comes together for that week. It is a beacon of culture of enormous importance, not only for film creatives, but also, of course, for the audience for whom we make films and because of whom festivals exist. I am particularly looking forward to being in Sarajevo after a year of lock-down. Cinemas have reopened, the 27th Sarajevo Film Festival will be live this summer, and that is fantastic. See you in Sarajevo!”, said Đuričić.
As the president of the Jury of the 27th edition of the Sarajevo Film Festival, Đuričić joins the most acclaimed filmmakers who presided over the jury in previous editions of the Sarajevo Film Festival: Mike Leigh (2004), Miki Manojlović (2005), Jasmila Žbanić (2006), Jeremy Irons (2007), Nuri Bilge Ceylan (2008), Mirjana Karanović (2009), Cristi Puiu (2010), Ari Folman (2011), Kornél Mundruczó (2012), Danis Tanović (2013), Béla Tarr (2014), Călin Peter Netzer (2015), Elia Suleiman (2016), Michel Franco (2017), Asghar Farhadi (2018), Ruben Östlund (2019), Michel Hazanavicius (2020).
