SCRIPT POOL COMPETITION PRESENTS FIVE ENGAGING FILM SCRIPTS
An international Script Pool competition, focusing on film scripts, has announced the selected projects that include participants from Ukraine, France, Luxemburg, Belgium, and this year’s focus country Israel, and Estonia.
We are especially glad to have the projects on board as some of the projects that have taken part in the previous Script Pool, are now presenting the film project already in Tallinn at Works in Progress. And some of them are enjoying great success like USA-Italy co-production Monica which premiered at Venice Film Festival this year and took part in Script Pool in 2016. In 2018, the script of Men of Deeds by Radu Romaniuc, won the main prize at Script Pool Tallinn. This August it premiered at Sarajevo Film Festival.

BLACK NIGHTS STARS INTRODUCES YOUNG TALENTS TO FILM PROFESSIONALS
Black Night Stars, part of the Black Nights Discovery Campus programme, continues to support eight selected young actors from the Baltic Sea region to promote their talent outside their home territory. As a way of support to Ukrainian actors who can’t work while their country is at war, the programme also presents talent from Ukraine.
This year’s program of Black Nights Stars will focus on the next step in these actors’ careers by introducing them to international film professionals in one-on-one meetings and participating in workshops and panels to further develop practical skills for presentations and workshops. The program will facilitate meetings with young directors presenting their films at the Black Nights Film Festival, and other film professionals and producers arriving for the Industry@Tallinn &; Baltic Event.
