The programme begins with the Screenwritting & Directing Lab, held from 2–5 July in Zagreb during the Fantastic Zagreb Film Festival. It continues with the Producing Lab in Amsterdam from 2–6 November, at the Imagine Fantastic Film Festival. The final stage, the Marketing and Packaging Lab, will take place from 16–20 November in Tallinn, as part of Industry@Tallinn &; Baltic Event at the Black Nights Film Festival.
The 12th European Genre Forum lineup presents a diverse mix of genres, including sci-fi, thriller, fantasy, horror, dark comedy, mystery, and dystopian drama, reimagined by emerging directors, screenwritters and producers. As in previous editions, the selection also reflects strong geographic diversity, with eight countries involved in the projects. The eight projects will follow three talent labs that will boost the quality of the projects and the professional careers of teams of first or second time filmmakers.

The European Genre Forum (EGF) is a collaboration between the Imagine, Fantastic Zagreb festivals and Industry@Tallinn &; Baltic Event. Together, they offer a training programme that aims to boost the careers of future European players in the genre film industry through three talent labs, packed with trainings, panels, mentoring and pitching sessions. The Screenwriting & Directing Lab takes place during Fantastic Zagreb Film Festival at the beginning of July, The Producing Lab in Amsterdam during the Imagine Fantastic Film Festival in the beginning of November and The Marketing and Packaging Lab in Tallinn is scheduled for the Industry@Tallinn &; Baltic Event of the Black Nights Film Festival mid November.
