Bulgarian TV7 Changes Ownership

"The Magnificent Century", regional hit period drama series, is a part of TV7 prime-time

SOFIA: The London-based Alegro Capital (www.alegrocapital.com) corporate finance advisory company became the new owner of TV7 (www.tv7.bg), along with family channel BBT (www.bbt.tv) and children’s channel Super7 (www.super7.bg).

According to TV7’s executive director Evelina Koleva, “The channel is the third most watched TV channel in Bulgaria.”

Alegro Capital’s managing director and Head of Media, Internet and Entertainment practice Patrick Martin, in Sofia to announce the official transfer of ownership, said, “The TV7 deal was the first in Southeast Europe for the fund.” He added, “The market was under pressure until recently, but […now] is a great opportunity for Alegro Capital to enter the market”.

Alegro Capital acquired 100% from the former owner of the three TV channels Crown Media, an offshore company registered in Cyprus, for an undisclosed amount.
