The main competition of this annual national showcase for short films comprises 19 short fiction films, 11 animated films, 8 experimental films, 15 documentaries and 20 corporate films. The jury is composed of producer Vanja Jambrović, film critic Dragan Jurak, and for the first time this year by a member from the region, Mladen Djordjevic from Belgrade FEST.

The Golden Octavian for Lifetime Achievement will be awarded to the painter, writer, screenwriter, director and set designer Zeljko Senecic. In collaboration with Creative Europe Desk - MEDIA Office the festival will welcome for the first time this year the workshop "How to develop and present projects in the initial stage for the international market".

Croatian Film Days 2015 and 2016 is organised by the production company Spiritus Movens, following the decision of the Croatian Film Days Council composed of representatives of Croatian professional associations.
