PLZEN: Radek Beran’s animated film The Little Man / Malý Pán, a Czech/Slovak coproduction, will screen at the 29th Finale Plzen (15-21 April 2016).

The Little Man is a kind-hearted bloke, who likes to help everyone and is never taken by surprise. Ever since the night when he had a strange dream, in which he saw a fairytale cottage with a sign over the door saying: “Here shall you find that which you lack,” the Little Man has been restless. Nothing raises his spirits. So he decides to get to the root of this mystery.

The screenplay was written by Lumír Tuček, who is also working on a sequel. The film was produced by Jakub Červenka through Bednafilms and coproduced by the Czech Television and Slovakia’s Fantomas Production.

The Little Man screened at the International Festival of Films for Children and Young Adults in Iran, Shanghai International Film Festival, Animayo International Film Festival and Schlingel International Film Festival Chemnitz, and was awarded at the Spirit of Fire Animation Film Festival in Chanty Mansijsk.

A-Company-Czech released it domestically on 14 May 2015.
