FESTIVALS: Finale Plzen 2018 Starts in Ten Days

    PLZEN: The 31st edition of Finále Plzeň Film Festival, the most important Czech national film festival, presenting contemporary Czech and Slovak audiovisual production, will be held from 19 to 24 April 2018. The festival will open with the long awaited directorial debut of the famous Czech musician Ondřej Havelka, Hastrman.

    Six premieres and previews are in the programme, as well as a non-competitive programme with archive films dedicated to the centenary of the foundation of the Czechoslovak Republic.

    The traditional Golden Kingfisher competition comprises112 titles, competing in five categories: feature live action and animated films, documentaries, non-serial TV and internet production, serial TV and internet production and student films of up to 40 minutes.
