BWMD, which will focus mainly on animated short films for children, was founded by Martin Vandas (Czech Republic) and Juraj Krasnohorsky (Slovakia), two among the most productive producers of animated films from the CEE region, together with the former executive director of the BAB Children's Festival in Bratislava, Lucia Dubravay Trautenberger.

The headline title of BWMD’s lineup is the short film Hello Summer by Martin Smatana and Veronika Zacharová, which will premiere in the Official Selection of the Young Audience section.
