Coproductions Compete for Georgian Funding

    {mosimage}TBILISI: Three coproductions and 21 national film projects are competing for funding in 2012 from the Georgian National Film Center (www.gnfe.ge).

    National films, competing for 415,000 in funding, will be considered by the expert's commission on 21 February.

    The three coproductions vying for 230,000 euros in funding are:

    1. "Parajanoff" (Production company "Gemini", Directors: Olena Fetisova, Serj Avedikian), Co-production between Georgia-Ukraine-France-Norway-Armenia

    2. "Ursus" (Production company - Studio "O", Director: Otar Shamatava), Co-production between Georgia-Ukraine-Germany

    3. "Dzma" (Production company "Cinetech", Director: Teona Mghvdeladze-Grenade), Co-production between Georgia-France

    The jury will consider the projects on 23 February.

    Grants will be announced in the beginning of March.
