The Microschool workshop, organized by the U.K.-based microbudget film scheme Film London Microwave, is selecting up to six Georgian teams of filmmakers to participate in an intensive three day development workshop. The first Georgian Microschool workshop is presented in partnership with BIAFF and the Georgian National Film Center.
BIAFF will also present the second Kino Futures workshop, following its launch in 2012. The 2013 workshop, running 16-21 September, will focus on documentary filmmaking and is open to Georgian citizens. Applications for the free workshop are open until 15 August. The workshop will cover all phases of documentary film production, including development, pitching, producing, filming, and editing, with each team of up to four participants making a short film about the area.
