Georgia Hosts EAVE Workshop

    TBILISI: The Georgian National Film Center (www.gnfc.ge), in cooperation with EAVE, has organized the first mini-EAVE Workshop for film professionals from Georgia.

    Five producer-writer/director teams with feature film projects in development and five participants without projects attended the Workshop I, under the tutelage of Alan Fountain (Head of studies, Luxemburg), Clare Downs (Script consultant, UK), Riina Sildos (Group leader, Estonia), and Denis Vaslin (Co-production expert, the Netherlands).

    Mini EAVE Georgia 2011 participants with projects are: Charter Flight (Producer: Irakli Bagaturia, Director: Vakho Varazi), Professor in Love (Producer: Archil Gelovani, Director/Writer: Levan Koguashvili), Hippocratic Oath (Producer: Anna Dziapshipa, Writer: Sandro Jandieri), Tortoise (Producer/Writer/Director: Valerian Kirkitadze), and Tomorrow (Producer: Sophie Bazgadze, Director/Writer: Keti Machavariani).

    Participants without projects are: Sofia Roinishvili, Irakli Sharabidze, Zviad Eliziani, Nika Mdivani, and Sandro Katamashvili

    Mini EAEV Georgia is fully subsidized by the Georgian National Film Center.

    The second workshop will be held 15-17 July 2011. Thanks to a special partnership with Baltic Event, one of the mini EAVE projects will have the opportunity to be selected for participation at the Baltic Event (www.balticevent.com) in Tallinn, Estonia, in December, 2011.
