The program of TV2 in SD format will be available in the digital terrestrial television service accessible free of charge to the public from June 1. Pursuant to the long-term contract which will be in force until September 2020 between AH and TV2, the two companies agreed on the digital switchover and joining the platform on mutually favorable commercial and technical conditions. Moreover TV2 joined the Digital Organization founded by Antenna Hungaria and according to this strategic cooperation agreement TV2 will also participate in the promotion of the MinDig TV platform.
The agreement makes the two leading Hungarian commercial TV channels available via digital terrestrial television service free of charge to the public. RTL Klub (www.rtlklub.hu) signed a similar contract two weeks earlier and has been available since May 8.
