VILNIUS: Porno Melodrama, the first gay-themed Lithuanian film, has been release via free online distribution.

The film premiered at the Berlinale in 2011.

Director/producer Roman Zabaraukas said he made the film "in part a reaction to a homophobic ‘protection of minors' law passed in Lithuania." The film was produced by the director, RainStudio (Ksenija Koženkova, rainstudio.lt) and Ikifilmi (Finland) and received public funding grants.

The film was released without subtitles on You Tube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_f9-T4DuDs8) and with English subtitles via VOD streaming on TLA (www.tlavideo.com/gay-porno-melodrama).
