PRODUCTION: Polish Writer/Director Maciej Kawalski Shoots Dangerous Gentlemen

    ZAKOPANE: Writer/director Maciej Kawalski is currently shooting his debut feature Dangerous Gentlemen, a costume crime drama starring Tomasz Kot, Marcin Dorociński, Andrzej Seweryn and Wojciech Mecwaldowski.

    Dangerous Gentlemen / Niebezpieczni Dżentelmeni follows Tadeusz Boy-Żeleński (Kot), Witkacy (Dorociński), Joseph Conrad (Seweryn) and Bronisław Malinowski (Mecwaldowski), four famous bohemians from Zakopane, who wake up after a bibulous all-night party. Their heads are bursting from a hangover, no one remembers anything and the situation is not improved by the corpse of an unknown man found on the floor. In addition, law enforcement officers are knocking on their door.

    The film is produced by Agnieszka Dziedzic from Koi Studio in coproduction with Leszek Bodzak and Aneta Hickinbotham from Aurum Film, as well as WFS Walter Film Studio and TVN.

    The planned budget of 2.2 m EUR / 10 m PLN is partially covered by a production grant of 553,600 EUR / 2.5 m PLN from the Polish Film Institute.

    The shooting will wrap by the end of June 2021. Kino Świat will release the film in the second half of 2022.
