The market, celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, will take place 7-8 November 2013 during the Cottbus Film Festival running 5-10 November.
Twelve projects will be selected to be presented to an audience of some 140 producers, sales agents, and other industry members. In addition, the winning producer of the previous Cottbus Film Festival competition is invited to pitch a project. Feature film projects either originating in or related to Eastern Europe with the potential for East-West coproduction are invited to apply.
A Best Pitch Award of 1,500 EUR will be awarded to the film selected by the Connecting Cottbus audience and participants, and an in-kind Post Pitch Award with a value of 25,000 EUR sponsored by the German post-production house The Post Republic will be awarded by a three-person jury.
Producers, sales agents, distributors, commissioning editors and financiers planning to attend as a guest without project should reserve seats by 1 October.
