Open call for projects for 3D Content Finance Market in December

LIÈGE: 3D Content Financing Market (3DFM) is open for 3D-project applications.The market features pitching sessions, held in Liège, Belgium 4-5 December during the 3DSM, The International 3D Summit for Science, Technology, Art and Business event.

3DFM 3D Content Financing Market is an international financing market dedicated to projects with stereoscopic 3D (S-3D) content. It was launched in 2011 with support from the MEDIA Program of the European Commission. which provided financial backing for the first two years, during which over 90 projects were submitted for a total budget of about 440 m EUR. Now in its third edition, 3DFM is organized, as in previous years, with the support of peacefulfish. 3DFM is the world's only international financing market fully dedicated to 3-SD projects.

Producers with a track record in S-3D, producers of 2D movies interested in moving into S-3D and newcomers with proven artistic abilities are invited to submit their to 3DFM projects in the early stages of financing that have a completed script or treatment and 20 percent of the total financing already secured.

3DFM functions not only as a project market but also as a forum for discussion, networking and education focused on producing, financing and distribution of S-3D content. For the first time, 3DFM is now open to eligible candidates from anywhere in the world. A pre-selection committee will name 10-15 projects from those submitted and their producers will pitch to a panel of financiers, investors, sales agents, producers and co-producers. One Best Project & Pitch award will be presented at the 3DSM ceremony the evening of 6 December that is organised in cooperation with International 3D Society.
3DFM also features business tools such as: networking events over its two days for producers to meet investors, financiers, sales agents, producers, co-producers, distributors and other key players; pre-organized one-on-one meetings, providing selected producers access to Belgium-based S-3D post-production houses as well as Belgian film funds specialized in the country's tax shelter system.
