Another regional coproduction, Under Electric Clouds a coproduction between Russia, Poland and Ukraine directed Alexei German Jr., scored the prize for Best Camera for its DoPs, Evgeniy Privin and Sergey Mikhalchuk, who shared the prize Ex Aequo with Germany’s Sturla Brandth Grøvlen for his camera in Victoria.
Dariusz Jabłoński, the Polish coproducer of Under Electric Clouds said: ‘Together with Aleksey German Jr., we – Apple Film Production, Telewizja Polska S.A. and Tor Film Production – won this Silver Bear for the Polish audience, helping create the most important film about modern Russia.”
The FNE FIPRESCI Critics ratings celebrated its second year at the Berlinale with 20 critics giving their stars to feature films in the main Competition, Panorama and Forum programmes.
