Aside the Competition, other sections are: Open Frame Award, Young Filmmakers for Peace, Beyond Belongings, Symposium, Portrait (dedicated this year to the Polish filmmaker Juliusz Machulski), Highlights and Special.
With the East-West Talent Lab, goEast provides young filmmakers from the areas of direction and production with a valuable platform for networking and further education during the festival week in Wiesbaden.
GoEast is also launching the pilot project OPPOSE OTHERING!, while the Young Filmmakers for Peace project, initiated in 2015, is returning for its second edition.
