Glurijidze and her coproducer Zurab Magalashvili of Cinetech Production pitched the Caucasus post-war drama at the 14th edition of Connecting Cottbus in 2012. The film was selected for the Open Doors coproduction lab in Locarno in 2013 and won the East of the West competition at the 2016 Karlovy Vary festival. It is Georgia’s official entry for the Oscars.
Glurjidze described the film about two families displaced by war as a personal story and an actor’s film. The script won the script development competition of the Georgian National Film Center and was one of ten projects selected for the Baltic Bridge East by West B’EST.
The film, budgeted at 447,500 EUR, received a development grant from the Georgian National Film Center.
