FESTIVALS: 28th Trieste Film Festival Ready to Kick Off

    TRIESTE: Ten films will vie in the feature film competition of the 28th edition of Trieste Film Festival, set to take place from 20 to 29 January 2017.

    The rich programme also includes documentary and short film competition, the Animation Programme, a focus on New Romanian Cinema and a Baltic Film Focus. Qui finisce l’Italia by Gilles Cotton is the opening film and On the Milky Road / Na Mlijeknom Putu (Pinball London, BN Films, Rasta International) by Emir Kusturica will close the festival.

    Ten projects including ones from Croatia, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Poland, Hungary, Macedonia and the Czech Republic will participate at Eastweek, an international scriptwriting workshop.

    When East Meets West (22-24 January 2017) will have for the first time an East & West double focus, bringing together over 350 film professionals from all over Europe and, in particular, from the 2017 spotlight territories: France and the Baltic countries.
