The lone animated film, Anca Damian’s The Extraordinary Voyage of Marona, received one of the largest grants, 432,000 EUR. More than half of the projects had partners from CEE territories, a sign of how well integrated the film industry in the region has become with its western European counterparts.
A total of 5,598,535 EUR was distributed in the latest round, which was held in Skopje from 16 to 20 October 2017. Eurimages noted that a third of the projects had female directors, with some prominent names coming from CEE countries.
