FNE at Venice 2019: FNE FIPRESCI CRITICS' POLL

    Invitation for all FIPRESCI and SNCCI Members attending the Venice Film Festival 2019:

    During the Venice Festival critics will be able to rate any film among all feature length films screening in the Main Competition, Orizzonti, Venice Days and Critics Week (1 to 5 stars). The results will be published each day during the festival on www.filmneweurope.com 

    This is not a jury. You rate only the films that you see.*

     You are kindly invited to participate.

                We have three options for inscriptions:

    1. Attending the festival for the FIRST five days: 28 August - 1 September
    2. Attending the festival for the LAST five days: 2 - 7 September
    3. Attending the whole festival : 28 August - 7 September

    *The poll will be limited to 20 critics, members of FIPRESCI and SNCCI, selected on a first come-first serve basis.

    PLEASE NOTE: Critics participating in any of the official festival juries are excluded from the poll.

    This year the Czech National Film Archives have teamed up with FNE to offer the first five participating critics a gift of a set of beautifully restored rare Czech classic films. The films include Black Peter (1964) directed by by Miloš Forman, The White Disease / Krakatit (1948) directed by Otakar Vávra, comedies The Good Soldier Svejk (1956) and Beg to Report (1957) directed by Karel Stekly, Ikarie XB 1 (1963) directed by Jindrich Polak and From Saturday to Sunday (1931) by Gustav Machatý. The DVDs also include exclusive bonus materials.  These DVDs and many other restored classics of Czech film are also available at the NFA online e-shop.
