Nominees for Doc Alliance Award 2023 Announced in Cannes

CANNES: Sixteen documentaries have been selected by Doc Alliance, the creative partnership of seven European documentary festivals including the Ji.hlava International Documentary FF, for the Doc Alliance Award 2023. The announcement was made during the Doc Day of the Marché du Film in Cannes at the Cannes Film Festival on 23 May 2023.

Films from the Czech Republic, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Poland, Hungary and Romania are among the nominated films.

Nominations were announced in two categories: Best Feature and Best Short.

The 16th Doc Alliance Award will be announced at the award ceremony of this year’s guest festival DokuFest in Prizren, Kosovo (4 – 12 August 2023). All nominated films will be screened at the festival.

Doc Alliance includes the festivals CPH:DOX, Doclisboa, Docs Against Gravity FF, DOK Leipzig, Marseille Festival of Documentary Film, Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival and Visions du Réel.
