Raleigh Studios, a California based company with studios in Baton Rouge, is opening a Budapest film studio comprised of nine sound stages in April, 2010.

The company announced that the studio complex will cover 180,907 square feet, with one 45,000 square foot stage with a height of 65 feet. The complex will also house equipment rental, post-production facilities, and a 15-acre back lot.

Raleigh Film Budapest began operations as a film service company in 2007.

In a statement, Raleigh Studios president Michael Moore said, "There has already been considerable interest from our clients and we're confident this will be one of the finest studio operations in Europe."

Raleigh Studios has a long term contract with the Iron Man films through its L.A. studio.
