Application process begins for next ScripTeast edition

By FNE Staff

Applications are now being accepted for the third edition of ScripTeast, a training project for scriptwriters from Central and Eastern Europe. The deadline for applications is May 30 and the first week-long training session will be held in late September and early October

After the fall meeting, the participants will begin an online rewriting session conducted via a specially designed e-learning device, working under the supervision of well-known screenwriters, directors and producers.

Two other stationary sessions are held during the year-long ScripTeast (www.scripteast.eu) program: an evaluation session during the Berlinale and a concluding session at the Cannes Film Festival. The best screenplay is presented with the Krzysztof Kieslowski Award which is accompanied by a €10,000 prize.

ScripTeast is organised by The Independent Film Foundation and supported by Media Plus, the Polish Film Institute (www.pisf.pl), Polish Television (www.tvp.pl) and Apple Film Production (www.applefilm.pl) in partnership with the European Film Academy (www.europeanfilmacademy.org), Ateliers du Cinéma Européen (www.ace-producers.com), e-Talenta (www.e-talenta.eu) and the Berlin, Cannes and Karlovy Vary festivals.
