Untitled Werewolf Thriller Wraps Shoot in Romania

    BUCHAREST: Universal Studios's Untitled Werewolf Thriller wraps the shoot of a re-boot of Joe Johnston The Wolfman (2010), filmed entirely in Romania, on 8 November 2011. Shooting of started on 26 September. Shooting took place on location at Sighişoara for two weeks and Căciulaţi, near Bucharest, before wrapping at Castel Film Studios (www.castelfilm.ro).

    This is the first collaboration between Universal Studios and Castel Film Studios.

    Following a classic story line, the film is set in a Central European village in the 19th century, when an army of local men try to rid the village a a creature who attacks by moonlight.

    The film is directed by Louis Morneau. Michael Tabb, Louis Morneau and Catherine Cyran wrote the script. Philip Robertson is the DOP. The producer is Mike Elliott, with Castel Film Studios providing production services. The cast includes: Stephen Rea, Steven Bauer, Ed Quinn, Nia Peeples, Guy Wilson, Adam Croasdell and Rachel DiPillo, along with several Romanian actors. The film will go directly to Blu-ray, DVD, Digital Download and On Demand on Halloween 2012.
