PRODUCTION: Hallmark Film to Shoot at Castel Film

BUCHAREST: Confections of a Discarded Woman directed by Michael Damian for the U.S. Hallmark Channel is in preproduction at Castel Film.

The small budget comedy follows a Manhattan housewife dumped by her husband who discovers true love by making cupcakes at her father's bakery.

Janeen Damian and Michael Damian wrote the script, and Janeen Damian is producing together with Riviera Films (www.rivierafilms.com ) and Motion Picture Corporation of America (MPCA). Shooting is set to start on June 4 and to wrap June 24 at Castel Film Studios (www.castelfilm.ro ) and on location in Bucharest. Romanian cinematographer Viorel Sergovici (Aurora) is the DOP.

The premiere is set for 2013 on Hallmark Channel (www.hallmarkchannel.com ).
