Romania Lines up 2011Premieres

    BUCHAREST: Twenty Romanian films are expected to hit local screens in 2011. Some of them were originally planned to open in 2010, but the premieres were postponed because of a busy autumn schedule.

    Among the delayed films was Cristi Puiu's Aurora, which is now expected on screens in March 2011.

    The new films include those directed by Cătălin Mitulescu, Adrian Sitaru, Constantin Popescu and Radu Gabrea, along with six first features. The films notably represent a wide variety of themes. In addition, most of them are international co-productions.

    The Mission of the Human Resource Manager by the Israeli director Eran Riklis, an international co-production with Romania, already premiered on 4 February 2010.

    - Outbound/Periferic by Bogdan George Apetri

    - Hello, How Are You?/Bună, ce faci? by Alexandru Maftei

    - The Mission of the Human Resource Manager by Eran Riklis

    - The Bear/Ursul by Dan Chişu

    - Looking For A Mare's Nest /Şi caii sunt verzi pe pereţi by Dan Chişu

    - The Childhood of Icarus by Alexandru Iordăchescu

    - The Little Spartan/Micul spartan by Dragoş Iuga

    - Looking for a Mother/Se caută o mamă by Adrian Popovici

    - 53 hours and more/53 de ore şi ceva by Adrian Popovici

    - The Godmother/Naşa by Virgil Nicolaescu

    - The Phantom Father/Tatăl-fantomă by Lucian Georgescu

    - Something Good From Life/Ceva bun de la viaţă by Dan Piţa

    - Somewhere in Palilula /Undeva la Palilula by Silviu Purcărete

    - Tanti by Şerban Marinescu
