Other awards include the Cinematik.doc award, which features Slovak documentaries premiered within the last 12 months. This year’s award went to Patrik Lančarič's The Edge - 4 Films About Marek Brezovsky. Told from four different points of view, this is the story of one of Slovakia's most talented modern composers who died at age 20 after a heroin overdose.
The Mayor of Piestany Prize went to Slovak film Comeback, a feature-length political documentary told from the point of view of repeat offence prisoners. The Audience Award went to Irish film Calvary. Highlights of this year’s festival included also a selection of films from Eye on Films, an international platform of film distribution companies and film festivals initiated by the French company Wide Management and a retrospective of films by award winning documentary maker Helena Třeštíková.
